• Ixoras are a genus of flowering tropical plants in the Rubiaceae family. They are native to Tropical Asia and are known by many common names like West Indian Jasmine, Jungle Flame, and Jungle Geranium. They exist in a broad array of sizes and colors and are widely used in tropical landscaping due to their extended blooming periods and long-lasting, colorful blooms.
• A rare, semi-dwarf Ixora hybrid from Thailand, Thai Snow has a dense, tight growth habit. Its glossy, deep-green leaves are heavily splashed with white and cream variegation, often producing solid, creamy-white leaves at the tips. It blooms sporadically with clusters of white flowers from early summer to fall.
• Care: Thai Snow Ixoras are easy to grow once established, but need careful attention to watering until their root system matures. The highly variegated foliage tends to burn in full sun, so place them in very light dappled afternoon shade in well-draining, acidic soil. These plants benefit from regular, light tip pruning to maintain their shape. Avoid drastic pruning, especially in late summer and winter.
